Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson holds a B.S. in Music Education from Towson University and a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College. He is an instrumental music director in Carroll County, MD, where he directs 4th and 5th grade band and orchestra at Westminster Elementary School. He also serves as the audition coordinator for the Carroll County Middle and High School All County ensembles and the coordinator of the district Solo and Ensemble Festival for Carroll County Public Schools Fine Arts.
Brian has formerly worked with the Governor Thomas Johnson High School Marching Band as a music composer/arranger, and the Westminster High School Marching Band as a music and visual instructor, and later as the assistant director. He is currently the music composer/arranger for the Liberty High School Marching Band in Eldersburg, MD. Brian spent six years with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, three as a hornline member (2004, 2005, 2007) and three on the brass instructional staff (2011-2013), and was part of four DCA World Championships with the corps.
